the BEST discovery of the week . . .

I have always loved looking up and trying new recipes.  And ever since I started getting a Bountiful Basket, I love it even more.  But, nothing is more disappointing to me then finding a delicious sounding recipe that has four or five different spices I don't have in my cupboard yet (I just got married six months ago so I'm still working on building up the spice collection).  Because we are doing our very best to stick to a budget, I always decide to not try the recipe because I don't want to go out and drop $2 to $5 on one new spice.  That adds up quick, especially when you buy them four or five at a time!

So, imagine my curiosity when my brilliant sister, Lisa, told me today that you can buy some spices in bulk at WinCo for pennies.  Now, imagine my excitement when I found ALL FOUR of the spices I needed in bulk at WinCo.  Finally, imagine my joy when the total cost for all four spices came to $1.54!  I couldn't have gotten one bottle of those spices for that price (I even told the cashier how excited I was)!

SO, if you have a WinCo in your area, STOP BUYING YOUR SPICES ANYWHERE ELSE!  They have a huge, great selection.  I'll definitely be heading back soon!

P.S...Stay tuned for the recipe I am making with these yummy spices!

P.P.S...We apologize if you were having any troubles getting this blog into your Bloglines or Google Reader feed.  We have fixed the problem and you can add us now!

We have a Vietnamese Market here in town and we get our spices there. While I think you might be getting a better deal on yours, we find the prices to be much more reasonable than going to Safeway.
