this week's price comparison.

This week's price comparison comes from Albertsons.
I have a few friends that do all of their grocery shopping at Albertsons.
CHECK THIS OUT . . .

2 1/2 lbs green grapes, $1.99/lb = $4.64
2 3/4 lbs of bananas, $0.69/lb = $1.90
1 huge head of romaine lettuce, $1.29 each = $1.29
(and again, the heads of lettuce at Albertsons were wimpy compared to what I got from BB!)
2 1/4 pounds of tomatoes, $1.99/lb = $4.48
2 pomegranetes, 2 for $5 = $5.00
2 lbs 7oz of Jonathon apples, $1.49/lb = $3.73
4 cucumbers, $0.79 each = $3.16
1 lb 3 oz grey zuchinni, $1.29/lb = $2.24
(Albertsons didn't have grey zuchinni, so this is the price of regular old zuchinni)
2 bunches green onions, $0.69 each = $1.38
(The green onions we got from BB still had the bulbs on them.  You NEVER see that at the market!)
1 1/2 lbs broccoli, $1.49/lb = $2.24
4 lbs 13 oz oranges, $1.99/lb = $9.55
5 1/2 lbs cantaloupe, $0.89/lb = $4.90

GRAND TOTAL = $46.45 (that includes Idaho state tax)
TOTAL SAVINGS OF $29.95!
That is like hitting a 62% off sale at the grocery store!
LOVE IT!

And don't forget to enter our giveaway to win some dang cute bags to bring all of your goodies home in!  The giveaway will close this Saturday morning at 9:00am, MST.

Not only do we get a MUCH better price on our veggies/fruits by using Bountiful Baskets but the quality of the produce is much higher than what is available in our local grocery stores. My wife and I have been getting baskets for about 6 weeks now and in all of that time there has only been 1 small blemish on a tomato...we are totally thrilled with the quality and freshness of everything that we have gotten.
